Discover the power of breathwork to heal, expand, and transform. Breathwork is a powerful, intentional practice that uses conscious breathing to release stored emotions, reduce stress, and awaken your inner wisdom. Whether you’re seeking to release trauma, regulate your nervous system, gain clarity, or elevate your spiritual connection, breathwork meets you where you are… and lifts you higher, naturally.
What is Breathwork?
A science-backed, spirit-led practice, breathwork uses conscious breathing to bypass the mind and access the body’s innate intelligence, and initiate deep emotional, energetic, and physical healing.
Breathwork is a broad term for a variety of intentional breathing practices that have the potential to shift your mental, emotional, and physical state. Some techniques are gentle and calming, others are intense and transformative. All are designed to reconnect you with your vital life force…. the breath.
What Are TYPES OF BREATHWORK?
A few of the breathwork modalities you may encounter include:
Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) - A circular breathing technique often used in spiritual or trauma-healing sessions, CCB involves intentionally connecting the inhale breath with the exhale without pause to facilitate deep relaxation and heightened awareness. This transformative practice may help release emotions and negative beliefs.
Box Breathing / 4-4-4-4 Breathing - Also known as square breathing, this is a simple, yet effective technique where you inhale, hold, exhale, and hold again each for four counts. It is often practiced by athletes and in mindfulness circles for nervous system regulation to reduce feelings of anxiety and increase focus.
Pranayama (Yogic Breath Control) - Rooted in ancient yogic tradition, these breath patterns (like Nadi Shodhana and Kapalabhati) involve controlling and directing breath to balance energy channels, calm the mind, and enhance life force (prana) by connecting the mind and body.
Holotropic Breathwork - A powerful, music-driven journey using controlled and accelerated breathing created by Dr. Stanislav Grof as a way to achieve altered states of consciousness without substances, inviting deep emotional release, inner visions, and somatic healing.
9D Breathwork - A technique using guided breathing with immersive and multi-dimensional audio frequencies integrated with binaural beats, solfeggio frequencies, hypnotic suggestion, and guided visualization. By engaging multiple senses, 9D Breathwork allows for faster, deeper, and more lasting shifts, making it one of the most powerful modalities for emotional healing, self-discovery, and inner transformation.
What Are the Benefits BREATHWORK?
What if the key to unlocking your highest potential was as simple as your next inhale? The results of a breathwork session are often immediate and profound, yet can deepen over time with integration. Breathwork is more than a practice, it’s a portal with the potential to help:
Release stored trauma and suppressed emotions
Reduce anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
Increase energy, vitality, and mental clarity
Regulate your nervous system and improve sleep
Awaken your inner guidance and intuitive gifts
Reconnect to purpose, passion, and self-love
Support spiritual awakening and integration
Create space for forgiveness, grief release, and heart expansion
What Can You Expect In A BREATHWORK Session?
Every Breathwork session is sacred, intuitively meeting your unique needs. As a healing session, generally you would wear comfy clothes and in your session you would be lying down with pillows and blankets so you can fully relax. At the beginning of your breathwork session, you might set an intention for what you hope to accomplish during the healing. You’re then gently guided into a rhythmic breathing pattern (like holotropic breathing) while listening to music or a combination of audio suggestions (like in 9D Breathwork) for 60 to 90 minutes. The session would be followed by an integration period for reflection, you may journal, and if you’re in a group session, you may have the opportunity to share your experiences.
Overall, in a healing breathwork session, you may experience:
Feelings of peace and calm
Physical sensations like tingling (especially in the hands), temperature shifts, or emotional release (tears!)
Visions in your mind’s eye, hearing words or phrases, or information from other psychic senses
Profound emotional, energetic, or phsyical shifts
Feeling spacey and the need to ground afterwards
No prior experience is necessary for breathwork, but an experienced practitioner can help guide you gently through this experience. All you need is an open heart and a willingness to surrender to your breath.
